About kusum Yojna:
Kusum Yojna was launched on 08 March 2019.25-Aug-2022 by Pradhan Mantri Narendra Modi. An initial budget of 50 thousand crore rupees has been made by the Government of India to install solar pumps in the fields of the farmers of the state and to promote solar products. To avail Kusum Yojana, farmers have to pay only 10% of the total cost. 30% amount will be provided by the government as subsidy to the farmers. In the first phase of this scheme, 1.75 lakh pumps of the country which run on diesel and petrol will be run with the help of solar panels. Earlier, a target was set to cover 17.5 lakh farmers under the Kusum scheme. In the coming time, about 20 lakh farmers will be covered under this scheme.

How to Apply for kusum Yojna:
Under Kusum Yojana, applications can be Apply through both online and offline. The list of applicants who have registered to give their land on lease will be displayed by RREC on the official website. A separate website has been created for Kusum Yojana in each state. You can apply online for this scheme by visiting the website of Kusum Yojana of your state. After registering online, you will be given an Application ID. After applying, take out the print out of the application form and keep it safely with you because this application form is very important. Benifits of the scheme:
•In Kusum Yojana, farmers will be provided an additional 30% of the total expenditure in the form of loan.
•Under this scheme, tube wells will be established which will generate a certain amount of electricity.
•In case of excess power generation, the remaining power can also be sold by the farmer.
•By installing a solar plant, there will be electricity for 24 hours in the fields.
•The old pumps will be replaced with new pumps.
