About Punjab Smartphone Scheme 2023:

The punjab government keeps running various schemes from time to time for the development of the state ! The Smartphone Scheme is one of that. Most of the students from poor economic status study in government schools and they cannot buy smartphones to study. In view of this problem, the Punjab government has decided to give free smart phones to those students.

The decision to start this scheme was taken by the Punjab government in the year 2016, but could not be completed due to some reasons, but this scheme will be completed in the year 2023. In the initial stages of this scheme, only students of government schools will be eligible, maybe later private college students will also get it. Punjab government has already placed order for 50 lakh mobiles.

About the smartphone:

Phones available under Punjab Free Smartphone Yojana 2023 will be screentouch mobiles coming with Camera. Internet service will be provided free of cost by the government in this mobile for the first year, so that there is no need to spend any money to recharge them. You will get access to most of the education sector application’s on this Smartphone.

Eligible candidates:

• The applicant should be a permanent resident of Punjab.

• Student age should be 18 years to 35

• Only 11th and 12th class girl students of government schools are eligible for this scheme.

How To register Punjab Free Smartphone Scheme:

For your information, let us tell you that the youth do not have to apply by themselves to get the Smartphone. The government has given the responsibility of selecting the eligible students to the school authority. The list of eligible students of Punjab Free Smartphone Yojana 2023 will be prepared by the school. If a student is entitled to this scheme, then the applicant has to submit the necessary documents to the school. After submit the documents, your school will send the list of those students to the government. After a few days, you will get mobile phone from the government side. If you haven’t received your smartphone, then you can contact your school authority.

Punjab Free Smartphone Scheme Update:

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has told during an interview that in the first phase, 50 lakhs mobiles have been made and reached the government for the distribution of mobiles under the Free Smartphone Yojana 2023. Under this scheme, the entire distribution process of smartphones will be completed by November. The scheme of mobile phones to be given to students will be completely transparent.

It has been informed by the government that students who don’t have the smartphones, will get the mobile phones first. After that the other students get the smartphones.
